While we were getting ready for work today, this was the song of the morning that Rob was singing, and it dawned on us, we don’t know where it came from. So thought I would research and make a post on it.
Thought maybe it was Mary Poppins or something like that, but come to find out it’s an old Disney tune that was from a movie called “Song of the South” released in 1946 (never heard of it). Now days Disney uses this song during the finale of their Splash Mountain ride. It gets better…..my beloved Tom Hanks sang it in my favorite movie “Splash” (this is where I remember it from most)
Not to worry, Tom doesn’t hold a candle to Rob, but he has always been my favorite actor. (speaking of candles, you know that old Elton song…..according to Rob, I’ve burned out long before my candle ever did?? how does that happen?? hehehe)

Help Fight Global Warming

Do you ever wonder what’s going on with the weather lately? Really?
So what’s the hype? Well, I’ve always dreamed of an ocean front home, but thought I would move there, and not have it move to me. Luckily we now live at the top of the hill in West Seattle which is surrounded by the Puget Sound because if we don’t do anything about our emissions and Greenland melts like it is on the path to be done within 50 years, that will rise ocean water levels 20ft. That won’t even be the worst part. Please don’t change the channel when something about Global Warming comes on, it’s real and you need to pay attention to it. This is yet more affirmation for me to not have a child. I wouldn’t ever want my child to have to bare the weight for my generation not minding their emissions!
Hopefully one of these days we can get support from the Government by forcing these Car Manufacturers to start building more efficient cars considering we absolutly have the technology to do it. This is only the beginning……

I am begging (I don’t do that normally), and I will buy your movie ticket!
Ignorance is bliss, but if we continue to be ignorant, there soon will be nothing left to worry about. Sooner than you think. And for those of you that don’t realize, we are only talking 50 years here. If you think, “oh, it doesn’t matter, I won’t be alive in 50 years” I’ll just say this, that’s pretty selfish, because shortly after that, no one will. Let’s get serious. I don’t like to have to do this on Mosscat, but this is something that has set off the fire in me, so I thought maybe I could help get it out there a little more.
After seeing this movie, or even just reading the scientific reports, it suddenly doesn’t matter that we are at war in the middle east, this is much bigger, and much more serious. Please put your political views aside if you don’t care for Al Gore, because it’s not about politics at all.
